when one perfroms the sr20 swap is it ok to leave it stock and no touch anything? Like if i dont plan on drifting and juss using it as a daily driver what would be the minimal things i would have to do to make sure the engine would be safe and driveable?
There's no reason you couldn't? I'm planning to just make some basic modification that will be easy with the motor out and for reliablities sake and once I have the engine running strong and stable, I'll start pushing it further. For now I'm just planning a new clutch and flywheel, koyo radiator and electric fans, a set of Nismo motor mounts and a 3" DP (My stock piece is cut and I've heard it won't fit the LHD steering shaft anyway). I'm sticking with the stock sidemount IC and stock piping for now and eventually upgrade when the budget allows.

yeam you can leave it completly stock if you wanted, right down to the last bolt...but i would recomend upgrading the radiator...

If you're a driving person, this saying has meaning..
so basically changing to a koyo is juss a safety precation even if it is stock
P.S. - i wanted my daily driver to have a sr so i dont really need to mod it that much. Does anyone know a exhaust that doesnt break the decibal rating in case a cop tries to give me a ticket for loud exhaust i can show him the decibal rating and quietly laugh at him but the only exhaust that i know of that does thats is a greddy one. i dont remember which one because it was on the back of a car magazine saying they are within the decibal rating. any know what im tealkin about let me kno
