question about swap

I just joined and i do not currently own a 240, however i really want one. but i have a question for you 240 savvy people out there. is it possible to swap a s20det 5 speed into a 240 with an auto tranny?? has anyone done this? if so how did it turn out and what kind of problems did you encounter? thanks alot!!

Tons of people have done this swap... The only real difference between an manual to manual and a manual to auto is that you are going to have to add a clutch pedal and all the hook ups, also trim the brake pedal.

not many people really want an automatic transmission with a DET.. the auto tranny robs a ton more whp than manual transmissions. If performance is your goal then auto tranny is not a good idea.
