it obvious that the s15 engine costs more because it makes more power than any other silvia eng, but is it worth getting ? or is the s13 red top engine sort of a de-tuned version of the s13 black top, s14 s15 engs? in other words does the s13 red top eng have the same power capabilties as the s15 eng?

the S15 SR20 will only fit into the s13 and s14 models with HEAVY modification. The S15 came with a 6 speed tranny, and different rear end that had the speed sensor inside the rear end. The s13 red top is the same as the s13 blacktop... except for the valve covers, those are colored different...

S13 has better flowing head...but s15 has variable valve timming...
