no rod knock is what is caused by a "spun bearing". typically, the motor feels the same, and will sound normal, until about 3000rpm, at which it will make a lot tap noise. some cars have been known to have Rod knock for over 10k miles without causing any other trouble. others have siezed up the motor in the same day.

i am looking for a place familure with sr20det's to do an engine rebuild. does anyone know of a place in north carolina(i am stationed at fort bragg). the closest possability i have found so far is a place in south carolina called truboost performance(truboost.com).

i am looking for someone to do a rebuild with forged internals and possably balance and blueprint.

has done buisness with truboost performance before and if so how was it?
