passing emissions..electrical confusion.....

searching helped but didnt answer every question.

with the SR, did most of you take your factory cat and put 3" flanges on it? i figured if i got extra pipe to make the cat and exhaust fit then used clamps i would fail; the clamps would probably allow a leak.

Also....on the s13, the tailights and guage cluster lights are on the same fuse. they both went out so i went to change the fuse....it popped; obviously i have a short somewhere. Along with that my battery is not holding power very well. so the question is, can the short from the tailights be able to drain power from the battery when the car is off?

Im gonna have the battery checked out tommorow which will prolly answer my question but i was wondering what u thought.

lastly, do the plugs from the NX2000 work with the sr?

yes, a short can drain the battery. A wet battery will drain quickly if the terminals are joined. The bad thing is a short can start fires! Get it checked out soon!

Plugs? do you mean sparkplugs?
