Question about tuning ECU

What do you guys think about what this seller is saying about tuning the ECU to cancel the speed limiter and the boost limiter? I was under the impression that you could just leave this stuff disconnected and you would be fine. He makes it sound almost as if you need to mod your ECU if you are no longer going to have these operating.

you're bidding on a tuned racing ecu for sr20det redtop RWD. I'm not sure about FWD. this ECU cancels the speed limiter, the boost limiter and rev limiter. the ecu is tuned for stock engine, airflow, turbo and injectors. I got data from Japan. if you've changed or upgraded on one of those, email me I can put more data on the ecu for more power.it's totally different from stock ecu.  I compared with MINE's ecu. it's faster than MINE's.

really fast fast!!!!!"

WOW...what a load of shit. first off SR's do nto have a boost limiter. they ahve a 5v airflow limiter...taht you can not remove. second off the mines ECUs are not very good choices for SR's runnign on 93 octane US gas. you need to steer clear of this guy he is lying and tryign to make a quick buck. Ther is nothing wrong with runnign on a sock ECU until you decide to upgrade your turbo, AFM and injectors.

I was not thinking about buying it. My engine is running fine right now. I am just trying to learn as much as I can about the SR20DET. I figured he was full of donkey poop and I am always cautious about buying anything on eBay.
