Angry Head Gasket

It appears that I have blown my head gasket

Was driving home and all of a sudden the car had no power and when i came to a stop i could see smoke coming from under the hood. I pulled into the gas station I could tell that oil was all over the intake manifold and was running onti the exhaust producing the smoke. When there is more light in the monrning I will look at it further and see exactly what it is. I am pretty damn sure that it is the head gasket since the oil is everywhere and the serious lack of power.

use a compression gauge.......

sounds like a break between the oil gallery and the piston.....

well I havent checked the compression but I have found out that.....

the dipstick is clean. No foam or bubbles on it. It reads half a quart low tho. Also there was no oil in with the coolant.

I moved the car back a little to see what fluids were on the ground.

To my surprise I saw that there was tranny fluid on the ground. Red in color and smelt like a burning clutch smell. also there were two small puddles that were brown in color and smelled like oil.

So maybe it isnt the gasket. Maybe it is something else. like the tranny or clutch blew up. that would explain the lack in power as well and then the fluid would just be smoking from touching the exhaust.

have a look at your clutch cylinder - wouldnt explain oil on the manifold though...

yeah. It is holding the fluid and doesnt appear to be leaking. I checkthe the brake fluid, power steering, clutch fluid, coolant and the oil. All of them are good except I am about half a quart low on oil, which is all over the intake manifold and that side of the engine.

It has a serious loss of power but I am not sure if it is from no compression or from a bad tranny or clutch. Thats ok tho tomorrow I am taking it to a shop to get it looked at.
