What's up, what's up...thinking about getting an S13 240SX with an SR20DET, and was wondering how friendly NOS is to the engine, i.e. how big of a shot can it handle?
Thanks.

i would only do 75 the most on stock internals...i run a 75 on my ga retard timin 4 degrees and spray away anyways if u have a det i would say 55 the most just to get you off the line until u boost high...this kid put zex on his car vg30et with a 55shot, has 10 lbs of boost, but actually gained like 67 hp when spraying....i would say no more than 75 though....too much compression....
answer his question though he wants nitrous give him nitrous don't persuade him to go turbo
hmm maybe u should ask the people who u getting the nitrous from maybe they know

turbo and nitrous... can be a lethal combo. although, if set up properly, it can help with turbo spool up at low rpms. Nitrous Express has a kit where it sprays the cryogenic liquid onto your intercooler to help cool down the charged air even further instead of using the N2O to directly feed the engine...
Having a nitrous system may give you pleny of horsepower at the flip of a switch, but it's gonna stress the entire powertrain. More stress means more wear and tear. More wear and tear means more happy ($$$cha-ching$$$) repair shops.

hmm.. very good point, you got me there no offense to anybody but i guess all the ricers say "NNNNAAAWWWZZZZ" cuz all they know is "NNNNNAAAWWWWZZZZ" and not nitrous or n2o
only reason people get annoyed by the term "NOS" now is because most (not all) persons don't even know what it actually stands for and because of the way TF&TF exploited the Scene and that specific modification.
