Okay, what is actually the difference between the ka24de and the turboed sr20det??? The sr20det is a high rev monster and the ka24de is a high-end torque monster, I was wondering can you make more than 155 hp with this engine???

first off, the SR20DET is a 2.0L, twin cam, turbo four with an aluminum block producing 202hp and ~170ft/lb @5K rpm. the KA24DE is a 2.4L twin cam, NA four with an iron block putting out 155hp & 160ft/lb stock. and, yes, you can make more power on the KA. and easily. of course, to get the power of an SR you'll want a turbo, but realnissan.com and nsport.com both have kits available for the KA. both come with a T04 and FMIC though, so you won't need to upgrade them in the future like you will with the SR.

marc25.. if you are actually thinking about turbo charging your ka24.. if it has 70 or 80k+ miles, i would recommend rebuilding your engine and building internals. turbo charge the crap out of it and you will be running 12's easy both KA and SR will cost about the same to producee about the same amount of power so both of them are AWESOME
70-80K miles on a KA is nothing. i'd say if it has less than ~125K it should hold up to turbo duty just fine. make sure you get a boost controller to keep it below 7psi until you upgrade the fuel system, but after that you're good to go. once you surpass ~12psi or 150K mi you should invest in a rebuild to be safe though (and so you can boost higher)
