I know that is the obvious reason. I guess that question should have been directed to the people with the money to do either or.

I have the money to buy the RB25det but I'm choosing to go with the sr20det and upgrade that instead. I think installing the heavier RB25det will mess up the cars handling characteristics. Then again I'm not big on drag racing so that's another reason.

i agree, rb would be nice on the street or at the strip, but sr rules the road coarses. for that matter, its just fine for a daily driver too.

they also make a crap load of power. its more fun to beat blown z28's with a 4 cylinder!

sr20 is THE best 4 banger there is.. rb25 costs more than sr20. with the money you save, you could get a HKS 3037. (not really but that would be nice)

sr20det rules over all ..maybe besides rb26dett and the vq35..

WHEN you are finished with your swap how much horsepower are you looking at? would this be just a drag car or a all around car? i would like to go rb25 but i think it would be to much weight up front and probaly destroy the handleing of the car. unless you say other wise. you ever thought of being interview by npm , turbo magazine to get some track info. im real curious to see how the car handles.

A heavy case of the Fast and the Furious would make you think that way (that's your opinion)! The SR20 (though it's a wonderful engine) is not the best all around 4cylinder engine especially in the Nissan camp! I'll agree with "drift240sxdrag" on this one (I wouldn't bet my life on it).
