I guess I'll use this post to introduce myself and get my first bit of "advice". I'm new to Nissans all together. I've been tuning turbo imports for the last 6 years of every drivetrain combination (except mid engine), new and old (02 VW GTI, 87 RX7, 02 WRX). I'm also a professional military body shop mechanic and fabricator (both metal and fiber). I love talking shop, so anyone looking for beginner welding advice or anything else I'm more than happy to help.
Now for the question, so that I stay on topic. I did a search and couldn't find a sticky or pre-existing list of reputable engine dealers. I've compiled my own list of bookmarked sites, but if anyone could share their pleasant or unpleasant FIRST HAND experiences I would much appreciate it. I'm not looking to blow a couple grand down the drain and not get what I pay for. Thanks.
Josh

Air Force specialty code 2T355...I actually went to tech school with Army and Marine welders at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. We just get to do bondo, paint, fiberglass, interior refinishing, and glass work on top of welding.
I had taken a look at tiger japanese...did you get an ECU with your motor? I didn't see it listed in their package inventories.

thats cool. im a helicopter mechanic. at least, i used to be until i became a squad leader and then the section sgt. now i just babysit semi-adults.
as far as the ecu's go, i think you can ask for one but im not sure about the package deals. i got pretty much everything but the ecu and intercooler when i bought mine. i found an intercooler kit online and bought a jwt ecu thru a member on the sr20 forums.
LOL, I know what you mean about semi-adults. Since making SSgt I've found myself less on the shop floor and more in the office taking care of people.
I'm not sure the ECU will be a real sticking point for me 'cause I'll probably go Apex'i PowerFC D-Jetro regardless. And I'm working on something unique and crazy for my IC setup. I'm definitely going to exercise my metal working skills with the exhaust and IC.
