you really don't need them unless you're going to adjust the cam timing.

ok thanks...another question...

do i need to adjust the timing? i just built the head with the BC cams, springs, retainers, and new seals and am in the process of installing my 2871r.64 w/550c injectors, a z32 maf, manifold and turbo outlet...so do i need to adjust the timing? or am i fine with the stock timing?

also would adjusting the timing benefit response?

thanks

There's no need to mess with the cam timing. Just set the timing to OEM specs and you'll be OK.
