Question sr20det s14 .vs. s13

Im about to buy an sr20det but i dont know if i should get the s14 or the s13. What are the differences between the two engines. if im going to modify them does it matter which one i get.

Sounds like you should do some research before you buy an engine. Do you have an extra copy of that SCC magazine by any chance? I never got to read the SR20 article.

If you plan on building/upgrading the engine/turbo or you have an S13, get an S13 SR20DET. High port head, and the lack of VTC make it a slightly better choice. If you don't plan on upgrading and you have an S14, get an S14 SR20DET.
