On my set-up right now my s13 made 306whp @ 15psi. My mods are gt2871r, 740cc's, jwt ecu, lsd, clutch, exaust, fmic, ect. My goal over the winter is to make it 400whp. I want to keep the block stock (mainly cuz I dont wanna pull the motor again). So to reach my goal I was going to do greddy manifold, 70mm TB, tomei exaust many, cams, port & polish head w/ 5 angle valve job, valves, headgasket, bolts. Do you guys think thats possible? any suggestion?

you're going to do all that head work, but you're not going to take the extra hour to pull the block? wtf mang?
im with you man. all dat work yet you dont wanna pull the motor. it takes 30minutes for that thing to come out. i would do the bottom before i do some crazy valve job.

if i was going through a complete head tear down, i'd go ahead and get BC stg 2 cams, valve springs, and retainers, as well as rocker arm stoppers. a mild port and polish might pick up ~15hp depending, i know for sure an equal length exhaust manifold can produce >50hp when compared to a log style. the manifold sure won't hurt either. the only thing i'm not sure of is a 70mm TB. that seems excessively large.
what MAF are you running?

I've decided to do pistons and rods aswell (might aswell right?). The only reason why I say 70mm TB is cuz thats the only thing I can find. Do you know of some other way I can make power through the TB? I dont think im gonna do headwork just yet cuz I want a good company to do it, but they charge alot so I'm gonna hold off on that. So with the mainfolds, cams, TB, pistons, rods. Do you think that will get me close to 400? Whats the z32 maf rated for? Anyhing else you guys suggest I do?

hey man I was just wondering how much hp would the GT2871r get at 9psi and how much PSI would it take to get to 400hp??? and if it cant you what would you suggest upgrading the turbo to???
Also do you now how much you roughly spent to get your car running to 306whp @ 15psi???
Currently I am trying to get all the information I can get. So anything would help. Also the gt2971r comes in two common sizes the A/R .64 and .86, does the .86 really make more noticeable spool-up lag and how much more hp will the .86 get compared to the .64?
Also what is the difference between the Garrett GT25/40R and the GT2871r hp and spool up wise?
2high - hopefully someone may answer your question on cost but my observation has been that if someone is honest enough to say "I spent $250 on this" that there will be a flurry of posts telling that person that they did it the wrong way, spent too much, couldn't possibly get it done for that much, etc. I don't know the answer to your query but someone will. Hopefully they can post a number without getting hammered.
im gonna get around 400 with my setup.
stock rods, arp hardware, cp pistons (8.5), gt30, cams jwt ecu.
its a proven setup too. all im doing is mimicking a friend of mines setup.
he dyno'd 416 at 19lbs.
Nice but I know ppl getting 400 on the GT28 and they get a faster spool response anyways mine is going to also be driven so I dont think the T3 will be good for daily driving so i am sticking with the T25/T28 and just crankin the boost when I am on the track and keep it at about 7-9 psi other times thanks man i did my research on parts and it comes to a lot. I know with the SR the bottom end is pretty good so I thought just build the top with some Cams springs retainers rocker arm stoppers bigger head gasket and maybe some forged pistons and rods w/ ARP rod and head bolts.
