Silvia NA sr20

Hi all im new here, im sorta in the market to sell my se-r classic and get a 240 coupe, im just wondering if anyone knows any place that imports s13 sr20de's or is it just more cost effective to just get the det due to the rarity of the rwd na sr20? 've tried searching around for some but i have not been successful, any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anybody wants a b13 se-r give me a message ;p thanks again

the SR20DEs are just as popular as the SR20DETs. unless, you want to go N/A, there's no point in getting an SR20DE.

I saw a RWD SR20DE on eBay a few months ago. If you want to go nitrous, heres what you might want to think about.

Get an SR20DET.

Buy an SR20DE exhaust manifold or aftermarket header. Get SR20DE cams and SR20DE pistons. Then start building for nitrous. Still FI, but not turbo.

u can find one at www.autowerksmotorsport.com. i'm from michigan and i got a s13 for 2800 with ecu, uncut harness, engine, tranny. i mean the engine was flawless. i wanted to get a s15 motor but they told me it be a waste of money if ur gonna upgrade the turbo .. which i did. now i'm running 19 lbs of boost doing 310 to the wheels. On a stock bottom end .. and i rag the hell out of it !

2800 for the engine? Ouch. I hope it's a blacktop S13.

well yes it is the blacktop .. and i always like to see what i'm buying first before i get it! To me its worth the few extra hundred bucks to make sure i don't get junk! they have 5 sr20det in stock ready to go, all sensors on it. Clean no oil leaks. and plus a 30 day garentee on the motor if they do the swap. i'm very happy with the work they did!

Well as of now my car is in the body shop right now. I'm doing a full conversion s14 to s15 front. so when its finish i will post up some pictures of it!

depends on what u get!!

s13 range from 2600-3100
s14 range from 3700-4200
s15 range from 4400-5500 these are motors with full harness, all sensors and ecu. (depending on miles to)

Sure u see online they price sr20det's for 1500 and 800 bucks reason being they are missing alot of things u need for the swap! I should know i was one of the morons who fell into the traps. Missing sensors, wire was cut, and transmission wouldn't shift into gears! I advise anyone who is doing a swap know what u are buying before u get it! or it will cost you more in the long run.

BUY from someone local that can garentee you that everything will be there, or get it from a very known source! Anyone who does this kind of hobby knows things aren't cheap and buying something dirt cheap don't mean u save money, it could be ur worst nightmare!

this Nissan 240 is a DRUG! i can't stop making it faster or look better. But at the end it will be all worth it !!!

mark, your prices are a tad expensive. by about a few hundred dollars. now, this is going strictly off of JUST the motor, tranny, ECU, harness, and lots of wiring (this basically equates to what is called, a motorset). these engines usually have less than 30k miles on the odometer because of strict laws in Japan.

for the most part, you'll be able to find:

S13 redtops - ~$2200-$2500
S13 blacktops - it'll be about $300 more than a redtop, roughly
and the prices are close to what mark said. just deduct a few hundred, and that's what you'll be looking at.

if it were me, i would NEVER trust someone that is selling a motorset for less than $2k. i'd be even kind of shaky on someone who's selling it for $2k. but, if it's from a very reputable source like HeavyThrottle, Phase2, RollHard, etc. than i guess you'd be getting one hell of a deal.
