SR problems

Just swapped in the sr20det and put in a gt2871r with 740cc and 300z maf, and jwt ecu. The car started up first time and ran great, but after I let the car sit overnight it took a long time for it to start and when it did it blew out white smoke from the exaust for a few minuets then stoped. So it's hard to start after its been sitting for a wile. Also after the car warms up it seems that oil is getting into the intercooler piping and blowing out the bov slightly. This problem occured with the car that I got the engine out of aswell, people told me that the turbo had gone bad (stock turbo at the time) but its still doing it and the gt2871r is brand new.

Anyone help me out?

check timing, timing can cause a significant amount of back fire when its too advanced

Timings good, ended up having a damaged o-ring in one of the injectores......replaced it and fixed everything, exept for the oil problem but i got an oil catch can ordered and installing a restrictor in the oil feed line. Hopefully that will fix the oil problem.

Thanks for the help.

White smoke can sometimes indicate valve stem oil seal wear..... A compression test will tell all.

A healthy sr20det should produce between 145-160 psi per cylinder..

you might have a boost leak and it probly flooded the engine, that happend to me so clean your spark plugs or replace them and clean out your injectors
