SR20 motor/ tranny ?

[b]im thinkin about buyin a 240 with the SR20 in it already, but the one thing im questioning is that the guy told me that i have to start the car some weird way. He said to turn the car on for about 5 min or so then turn it off for 20 sec, then turn it back on. if i dont do this then the car will start in 3rd and stay in third... any ideas?[/[/font]B]

start in third? is the car an auto or something? honestly, if the car is having problems like that, i'd avoid it. it just means someone screwed up with the swap, and you'll be in the same boat i am. trying to trace back every wire to see which ones are wrong.
