just installed a FMIC w/ HKS SSQV, HOWEVER, the valve works fine but the sound is comeing out of my air filter, strange. boost is felt at the mouth of the valve when it opens but no sound. i have checked for back spin but nothing all's normal, has any one heard of this or experienced it? the boost and vac guage doesn't had wild change from vac to boost or vice-versa. i expected a nice sound from the valve but i get the stock style chatter sound.

do you have the vacuum line hooked up to the blow off valve.

yes, when the motor was first installed they capped one of the vac nipples and ran everything off one line. i took that cap off and ran it straight to the bov. this also make my boost guage work better. guage would not register boost for about 4-7 sec after stomping on the gas, after enough pressure was made then it would go up. and the bov seemed to work better on that direct line. but sound coming out of the air filter? little wierd for me
