my s14 has done 116000 miles and has developed a rattle which i was told by a nissan engineer was the timing chain, with the chain and tensioner changed it goes better, but I still have the rattle which i now fear is something more teminal... theres a cou0ple of recordings below. It does'nt do it under heavy load, does'nt go away when i dip the clutch and it does it cold and warm... anybody help???
ive heard that sound on deisel engines. it might be intensive knocking or the play between the extension rod and the piston is to much. but what ever it might be it doesnt sound ggood
