I'm not real versed on the S15, but IIRC, this is how it worked. I don't know if the S15 trim level follows the same scheme as the S13.
The S15 J's and Q's would have an SR20DE with a 5spd.
The S15 K's would have an SR20DET with a 6spd.
I could be off though.
