Why out of curiousity would you ask SR guys where to get a KA.
KA24 is what is already in your car if you own a USDM 240. If it's an 89-90 you have a KA24E(SOHC), if you have a 91-94 you have a KA24DE (DOHC).
The turbocharger and accessories are acquired seperately as they never came mounted on the block stock like the SR. there is quite a few kits on the market though. Read the KA24 Turbo FAQ's in the General section.

Well I am obviously a KA advocate, but not at all against the SR either. I think both motors have great merit.
What kind of power are you looking for and what's your budget. It alters what would be recommended.
i want to start with a det motor so i can jus upgrade rather than starting from scratch. im lookin for decent power im not expecting to be blowing the doors off of everything but i would like some power and upgrade the turbo. once i sell my car now im hopin to get about 5 or 6k for it. i found a 240 i like for about 2500 so i have some play around money for a motor and such. sohc is not an option i would more then anything prefer dohc without a doubt. thanx
