Motor mounts?

What are the best motor mounts for my car? And how much do they cost?

Re: Motor mounts?

Go with either Energy Suspesion or Place racing mounts. The place racing mounts are pretty good, and they come with their own brackets, you won't have to push them in like the ES mounts. JWT mounts are just overpriced NISMO mounts, and I don't think they make them anymore IIRC.

I'd go with the Place Racing mounts if they're not too expensive. I just put the ES inserts in both my dogbone mounts and the tranny mount this past weekend as well as the shifter bushings. Although I notice more vibration during startup it really isn't much different except when you're a little low on the rpm's and trying to go. I do notice that along with these mounts and my new clutch, there's no slop when shifting, I'm really like how tight it feels now. (That's what all guys say, right?) ES inserts are like $35-$40 total for both the dogbone mount inserts, so if PR mounts are like $40 a piece that wouldn't be too bad. You'd spend twice a smuch but they're probably pretty nice. I bought my ES Master Kit from www.suspension.com for $124 and the only things it doesn't have are the dogbone mount inserts, got those for like $34 but can't remember where right now.

i did the polyeurythane thing, only cost me 25 bux and the mounts are stiff. in case your poclets are deep, try this. i just do not see the ned to spend so much on ES, JWT and other mounts when i can make then myself way cheaper.

I thought they were easy, but I haven't done the passenger side mount yet, that one takes longer because you have to dig the old mount out of the housing. My mounts don't match, I have black mounts for the tranny and the engine mount, then my front and rear dogbone inserts are red. (I refuse to refer to the rear dogbone mount as the "firewall" mount, as it does not connect to the firewall at all, all of it mounts on the dogbone and the engine block, just like the front dogbone mount does.) Anyways, what will the ricers (you know the ones that color coordinate everything from their socks to their A/C seals to match the same color scheme) say about my mismatched ES inerts? They'll freak out for sure!

If you plan on going Turbo the JWT's would be the best to use,
NISMO still sells these mounts.

I havethe JWT's and around the first year the mounts and vibration are unforgiving (The car feels very solid specially when you shift, love it) also amplifies the lope/feel of the JWT cams in the cabin, it eventually becomes livable. imo

Place Racing just revised there mounts and look to be very well made. now there mixture is injected into there own mount casings. The old design had the poly sliding out of the casings.
