Im going to be doing a SR20Ve swap in the summer, but i need to know some things. I've read in the forums that the new Gen VI headers will fit a VE, but are "race only" and don't give enough room for the AC. My car is a daily driver, so i need the AC. I've heard of ppl just bending the AC piping on the low side to get the headers to clear them, but having that sort of heat right next to the AC low side will be detrimental to the cooling ability right? I need headers that will fit and i can still have my AC. There is not as much info on the VE as i'd like I want to see more movies and ETA's.
hmmm. why can't i just use the stock manifold from the VE? if i could do that it would be nice, nice and quiet. One more question, i need to be able to run 91 octane fuel in the VE but i know the JWT ECU requires use of 92. I need this to be a daily driver that is faster in a straight line than a GT mustang.
thanks mike. i love your car. I used to have a b15 but i got in a wreck with a pickup that pulled out in front of me. 40mph and didn't feel a thing. Very safe car, just crappy stock tires. Anyway, on the subject. I am looking for about 170 hp after tuning, but just a mid 14 sec et 'til the upgrades get in. I think this is possible considering my car is pretty light, and is only getting lighter. New flywheel and clutch going in soon.
