surfacing the head
from SE-R.net: The block has been decked 0.010"... The head has been surfaced by 0.030"... The total of 0.040 total surfacing (0.010" block+0.030" head)...
They used a DPR stage 6 head and JWT prototype 2045cc 87mm big bore pistons with a flat top...
Hm... I have a JDM SR20DE (red top) and have to surface the head. For now I'm not going to use adjustible timing gears... The pistons are flat top (stock JDM pistons) CR 10:1
0.04" sounds damn lot to me. I was thinking to go somewere in between 0.01" and 0.02".... Don't want my pistons to meet the valves
What about CR? Have to run on pump gas...
What do you suggest??
