Ignition signal circuit fault
My ECCS gives my the 21 fault code. In my case this is the Ignition signal circuit fault code (SR20Di). According to my Haynes manual (wiring diagrams) the ignition signal circuit is made up of the following components: HT Coil, Power transistor, Capacitor and resistor. Does anybodie know:
Which components are covered in the test?
Where is the resesitor located?
What is inside the power transistor housing ( transistor type( Bipolar, MOS or IGBT) any RCD unit inside), how to check the power transistor?
Any other useful tips...
If I clear the code it comes back after a short ride. The car seems to run ok.
