post clutch install problems

ok, i've alrealdy searched, so don't bitch. my battery and brake light are coming on intermitently (flash on and off), seems like i have a loose connection. i swapped the clutch about a month ago, and we may have broke the bigger white clip on one of the sensors coming off the tranny, but the sensor still stays put. anyway, when i searched, it said "alternator, alternator" but i don't see why the alternator would be affected by the clutch swap. true, the car idle high (about 11-1200) when the lights come on, then when they switch off the rpm drop and the car feels like it's gonna stall. any ideas. oh yeah, the car has 91K, about how long do stock alternators last?

bout 91K miles depending.

Looks like your gunna need to brake out the old voltmeter and take some readings.
Check that alternator good and post all your findings.

good luck

Alternator is going. That sounds like the regulator is shot. It's no longer regulating the proper voltage to your electronics.

get a new alternator cause you are gonna be pushing or towing the car home soon, it happened to me so i just put a new one in a bank parking lot in about a 1/2 hour, but don't let it happen to you
