Better fuel economy then expected....

I have been keeping an eye one my fuel economy since I rebuilt my engine a few months ago. I average 23 miles per gallon durring normal everyday driving.
I had to make an interstate trip and noticed my mileage was WAY up. I figured it was a fluke and I messed up and added fuel without reseting my trip.
I've since retested my interstate mileage to find it's not a fluke.

My new engine is getting 35.7 miles to the gallon at 78 mph.

Anyone else notice thier fuel economy up like this??
