what is the top speed of a unresticted 200sx se-r?
well that's all in how much you want to pay for a speeding tickit!!! if that not a issue as fast as that little tach in the last gear you have tell it hits the red.. or goes BOOM... J/k... sorry . couldn't help my self...
nah.. does you car have any after market stuff, or bone stock?

B13 SE-R R.I.P. just to hard on cars.
You have to figure that a JWT ECU will add 3-5hp on it's own..so it isn't *quite* stock.
But, you have a car with marginally better aerodynamics (.34 C.D. [200SX SE-R] vs .36 [Sentra SE-R] IIRC, with about the SAME frontal area) than a B13 SE-R, but marginally WORSE gearing............I know the tranny has the same internal gear ratios and axle ratio, but the 195/55R15 tires on B14's are around 3% taller than the 185/60R14's on B13's, thus lengthening things out (and putting you a couple hundered rpm back down the tach, and further away from peak power).
I would expect you to run up to a drag limited top speed of 125-128mph with the tach hovering between 5800-5950rpm in 5th (on flat ground with no tail or headwinds).
Your speedometer may well read higher than this, but that's what your actual speed will likely be (go get a handheld GPS to find out for SURE).
Here's an example of a GPS'ed top speed run in my girlfriend's stock (outside of a K&N drop-in air filter) 99 Neon R/T (notice how far off the speedometer is from the GPS): http://www.ericm555.d2g.com/pics/mat...rnor%20Run.wmv
It's big video (nearly 16 meg...I had to make it big so you could read the GPS), but it can give you an idea of just how far off a speedometer can be (you notice the GPS was only just past 102mph when the speedo was past 110).
Obviously, you can go downhill, or get a tailwind to raise this number (I've exceeded 145mph going down a STEEP hill with the wind behind me), but I'm talking about repeatable numbers that are a little more "standard".
I should point out though.............don't be a crack head and end up on the news from doing this on I-5 running though rush hour or anything. Go find a secluded road out in BFE somewhere, and MAKE SURE you have tires that are speed rated for this (at least "H" rated tires would be needed for these kinds of speed).

I've gone about 135mph in mine and it's still accerelating... although at that point even with V-rated tires it feels very scary and i backed off a bit.

Yours I believe.............150whp, and you SHOULD be nosing into the high 130's (my 134whp SE-R does a GPS verified 130-131 with no wind or grade involved).
Quote:
i second that . 135-140 mph hehe
You however, I don't believe unless you have more mods than just the JDM swap (which is only good for 3-4hp over a USDM engine).
Go get a GPS and a video camera and tell us the same story then.
Here's a video of my car sitting at top speed with a crosswind (they hurt too [like headwinds].......more total airflow over the car):
131 indicated on my particular car is around 128mph actual (my windless top speed run had 134 indicated at an actual 130-131mph [the GPS was flickering between the two]).
Here's a small picture from that run:
Either way, a stock 200SX SE-R will be a little slower than my B13 up top due to gearing and having around 15 less hp.........so.........no more than 130mph (likely closer to 125).

lol i dont care if you belive me or not :P
i dont think mods are going to change the top speed...and yes i have more then just the JDM swap
it was stupid enough doing that kinda speed. but trying to take a picture of it at the same time?? i think i rather have both hands on the wheel and paying attention

Mods do make a difference in top speed. The more hp you free up, the more potential you have for attaining a higher top speed. My biggest differences in top speed were noticed after my header install. Haven't tried it again since my cams went in, but I have noticed much improved acceleration.

you're top speed is mechanically limited by your gear ratios, tire size and redline of your engine. horsepower is not a function of the top speed equation.
For instance, if you were able to redline your SE-R in 5th grear at 140 mph with all bolt ons. Even if you were producing a 100 more horsepower with a turbo in the same SE-R, you would stilll be limited to 140mph. The only difference is, you would accelerate faster to 140 mph.
