Highport....Lowport. Someone please explain

I hear talk about Highport SR20's and Lowport SR20's. Can someone please explain to me what that means and what are the major differences???

If you would have scrolled down just a bit in the 2.0 section, you would have seen this thread:

http://www.nissanforums.com/showthread.php?t=44274

Please search before asking. With as many posts as you have, I think you would have learned that much.

Quite frankly, I'm sick of searching. I rarely get the answers I want. I like to hear things straight from the horses mouth

Now from the looks of it, the lowport intake will flow better because the intake bend isn't as extreme. Does it really have any effect on the power and torque of the motor compared to the highport?

And quite frankly, I'm sick of answering the same question over and over again. The horse's mouth is getting really tired.

If you take the high-port cam and install it on the low-port, you will see the low-port make more power than the high-port with everything else the same. However, the flow characteristics of the high-port seem to be better than the low-port.

A straight-forward answer, thank you.

Do you know what flames are? Or do you need some of the not-so-nice members to remind you? Its your call in the end, but don't say nobody forewarned you.

It's not that bad of a thing to have a lowport motor despite what others may say.
