Gti-r engine

Yeah, I have my 1997 200sx se-r and I was looking at that Gti-r motor because it wasnt priced way too high or way too low (weird like 10 bucks or something). It was at totalboost.com and they include the awd tranny but thats the problem....its all wheel drive and my car obviously isnt so what do I do from there? Can my old tranny work or what would I have to do to get it because I like that motor. Thanks guys

IIRC, cant the sr20 tranny be used...and also, cant you use the stock gti-r tanny, but only use it as a FWD tranny by simply not using the rwd driveshaft and shit?

why was this moved to 240sx/silvia?

the GTiR is no silivia or 240sx, and it's main use when swapped is a fwd application!

The gti-r motor will mate with the fwd sr20 tranny with no mods. The awd tranny usually comes with the motor because its useless on a sentra. Of course if you have the means of alot of funds to spend im sure a awd conversion could be done. Jwt was going to attempt it years ago but has put that idea to the side due to complexity.

The GTi-R motor has actually been adapted to a rwd application, but I still see no reason as that occurs once in a millenia and almost no one sans the bravest would attempt to do such a thing.

You cannot use the gti-r tranny on any american car. U have to use your de tranny. (2.0) and you can't use the gti-r flywheel or clutch. You must bore out the holes for the flywheel to fit the gti-r. Just ask question's nicely and people will help u

Moved thread to where it belongs and deleted posts that add to nothing. SUN-E, its better for you to comply with what moderators tell you. I've addressed you before about this. It's time you did as told. Consider this a warning.
