i might be doing an sr20de conversion to my good ole 91 xe. ive heard that adding a turbo to the g16 creates more power than the sr20de. thing is im not a fan of turbos or superchargers.. i like all motor power. can anyone gimmie specs on any high hp sr20de's? thanks like what can i do to attain the highest hp/tq from an all motor sr20de
You definetly need the basic mods ( CAI, Exhaust, Header ), as well as cams, high compression pistons, headwork, porting and polishing, etc... It is possible, with enough money that is, to reach 200whp on an sr20de. Another idea is to swap in an sr20ve from a primera. Good luck!

im kinda a newbie.. whats a primera? what is the stock hp/tq specs on the sr20? i have heard from a couple ppl to do the ve swap but dont only new spec v's have that? wouldnt that run alot of money with the tranny and all?
A primera is basically an american spec g20. I'm not an expert on it, but it has around 180hp/180tq. On the sr20de, it has 140hp/132tq. The new spec v's come with a qr25 de. The sr20ve swap will cost more, but comes with more power, and a variable valve timing system for more top end power.

ok, the sr20ve has 190 hp the regular se-r trans will bolt up to it. the qr25de has 175 hp 180 tq. you would need the new trans for that. they are both fully varialble valve timing.

which car has the primera? is it harder to do the primera conversion or costlier? i was thinking if i took out the internals in the sr20de and put in lighter parts... the rotating assembly maybe cams.. how much hp/tq do you think i would make? if anyone is selling a primera engine with tranny and lives in south florda lemme know.
The name of the car is the Primera. It's a Japan-only car. The SR20VE from thw Primera puts out 187hp and about 140tq. It has a variable valve timing system called VVL. You would need the same SE-R parts necessary for the SR20DE swap to do the VE swap. You also need to have the ECU reprogrammed to activate the VVL solenoids at a certain rpm(like V-TEC). If you decide to go SR20DE you can put in lighter pulleys, new cams, a JWT ECU, a lightened flywheel, high compression pistons(I've seen 11:1), headwork, port and polish, valve springs, and of course the big 3, intake/headers/exhaust. I'd say you'd definitely be pulling at least 165hp to the wheels if you did a good job choosing and installing the parts. That's about 185-190hp.
The primera is a car, and the engine in it is the sr20ve. The engine itself is costlier, but is pretty much identical to a reglar sr20de swap. To answer your other question, I think IMO that cams would add a few more hp/tq to the wheels, and the lighter rotating parts would add a few more hp/tq, and improve your engine response and acceleration.

Hey Hey stop....
The Primera is the Plataform of the Infiniti G20, the basic difference is that it's not a Luxury car, instead is a sport based sedan (check British Touring Car Champioship Primera's).
I have a Primera, check it out on my cardomain (my car pics)..
There's only one SR20DE all-motor with 198whp, and it's not a daily driven car..
The SR20VE it's Nissan's responce to Hundas Vtec.
