Hey guys!

The markings on it are: 13001 93140
8 M B(?) LYD 8 D

How do I know that these are actually from a '91 car? Thanks!!!

Yes I installed it with the help of my father...

Install took about 1 1/2 hours with the correct wood jig.

10 degrees more duration.

It adds about 7hp to the wheels. Nissan changed the cams to a 'lowport' around '94 to meet emissions better.

Easy swap, so they say. Worth the power for the $. I got mine for $55 bucks to my door.

"Install took about 1 1/2 hours with the correct wood jig."

Ah yes, the infamous wood block that's supposed to keep the tensioner in the right place. I'm glad you got it to work, because when I made one it didn't work. If you ask me, it takes less time to remove and reinstall the damn tensioner than to make that wood block.

lol ,

That is so true...
I didn't havw a wood block for the 91 intake cam install and everything that went erong did.

So when I installed the S3's i said I might as well make the wood jig because I had a little wood block sitting around..

Don't worry about the wood jig, take the tensioner out and pop it back in after you're done. However, before you pop the tensioner back in, push the plunger back in and hook it, so as to hold the plunger back. Insert the tensioner, and after closing up everything, manually crank the car (if you cant, here is an alternative: put the car in 5th gear and push it 5-10 feet).

For easier-to-understand removal and installation instructions, click the link below:

http://www.se-r.net/zotz/se-r_tensioner.htm

EDIT: take the tensioner out before removing the VC. That way you won't risk anything falling inside in the engine.

Not bad actually!

However, I still say its better and safer to just take the tensioner out, IMO. Its a better precaution, with no chances of anything falling in.
