just finished a GA-SR swap on my B14, problem is, the speedometer and the temperature gauge don't read right... been looking... we can't get the GA16 gauge to work with the new connector, and i don't even know where to begin with the speedometer...
The SR is from an altima, just for comparison,.. do you have to switch gauge clusters when you do a GA-SR swap in the US? and if so, how much is a set?
P.S.: this is for an automatic.

yes you have to swap the gauge cluster. even if you got the gauges to plug in and work they wouldnt read correctly, thats why you need a new one. not sure about price though.
off topic: altima's come with sr20's in the phillipines?
as far as i know, altimas were SR18DE here, and the so-called Super Sport Versions were SR20DE (hah!). They also came as either KA24DET or SR20DET (not sure which...) 4WD in japan... you can get those here, but they're expensive.
I kinda figured that was the problem... i'm going to scout for prices then...

i guess it's still true that every country other than the u.s. gets the better version of the car. you might want to try posting a wanted listing in the classifieds section of this site looking for a cluster. good luck man
hah... at least the US got the old SE-R and the new SE-R... what do we get? limited edition SE crap... their latest is a Sentra TS, or Touring Sport Edition... developed from years of experience, blah blah blah... know what's in it / on it? a body kit with new bumpers, a spoiler, and a QG16DE (you read it right... 16...) which is exactly the same as the old one... all crap.
thanks for the advice!
