Question G20/200sx cam swap

Does the 1992 G20 have the "91 intake cam"? if so, is it worth it to swap the intake cam into my 1996 200sx SE-R or should I wait until I can afford S3 or S4 JWT cams? What kind of power gains will I see?

yes it does have the cam you want, yes it's worth it and with a custom exhaust and CAI i hit the numbers below with that intake cam.

Yes it has the same cam.

It is worth it if you can't afford the JWT cams. An extra 6-10hp.

Very good cheap mod, but you'll lose out a bit down low, so it's best to extend teh top end with this cam. It's good for 7whp or so iirc.
This cam will work, but works best with a 94-96 G20 obdII ecu. From a 5-speed if you have one, or an auto if you have that. They can be had for like another $75, just check the classified's or e-bay.

G20 ecu it lets you bang 7500rpm, and takes out the 109mph limit. Good luck

No 127 tq. is nice for just intake, exhaust and cam. But you should have more hp than tq. I mean on a stock low-port you get like 5-7 more average. How do you think you evened tham out ? Timing? TPS?
I had this cam in my '96 200, and sotp I felt a loss below 4000. Most dyno sheets I've seen on line prove this.

There were no other mods to my car (well...g20 ecu) but aside from that there was no messing with timing or TPS. I think i am a lucky one that can get those hi numbers especially with those few mods, Im waiting to go back with my PS header and see if i can get another 10whp (lol wishful thinking)

i know low-port's get a better mid range, but it still seems to me you could have a few free ponies hiding in your engine.
With 17*, balanced TPS, and the header, I bet you could flirt with 140 easy. Those are good numbers regardless. I am trying to be constructive, not hate on your numbers.

wow, way to abuse the CAPS LOCK...

hey, if i'm B14, will the G20 work with my stock 1.6 gauge, or will i need an SE-R gauge?... if i swap it for a JDM ECU, will the harness connections be the same?
