SR20DET front mounted intercooler

I am planning on doing a SR20DET swap into my NX2000, I was looking at the price of front mounted intercoolers and they are a bit expensive. However, if you're doing an engine swap, get all of the performance or it's not worth it. My question is does anybody know of a car that comes off the assembly line with a turbo and front mounted intercooler that would fit into a 93 nx (b13 chassis). I thought i might be able to get one of these at a better price, or at least from a junk yard. Thanks.

Because I believe they come with a top mounted intercooler which i've read are not nearly as efficient as front mounted. Thus a front mounted will give better performance.

Intercooler.

Really dude, think about. . . You buy a GTi-R, Aniviere, or Bluebird motor for $1,600.00 to $3,000.00 complete. The average price for a front mount intercooler kit is $1,000.00 to $1,400.00. All the while the shop just swaps your motor and to be honest there are some good parts that are just trashed after the swap because they are found usless? One being the top-mounted intercooler. The hoods they use on those Nissans will not mount to ours, and because we have no access to Japanese/European junkyard to grab a hood scoop and body-shop-graft it to uor B13, 14, or 15 cars this is out of the question. An '85 turbo Z's hood scoop only looks good on a B11, N12, or B12, NOTHING ELSE! A hood scoop fromJ.C. Whitney or Summit Racing. . . PLEASE just shoot me, NOT on my B15 will you put that! Tell them you want the STOCK intercooler mounted on the front it's already there and all they need to do is plumb it. Costs less too, though not as effecient as aftermarket, this is what I plan to do. If it worked for that motor then, it will still work now. If you plan to heavily mod it up, then the stock intercooler may need to be scrapped. Want some cool B15 pics, mail me for them. gconway1@msn.com -Greg
P.S. It's fully loaded.

U13 BBDET's come with from mount. you could try JGYcustoms. i was getting a complete BBDET swap and it had most of the FMIC but i ended up getting the long block from him. so he might still have it.

Avenier had a FMIC didnt it? I thought thats why you never see just the motor with an intercooler, unless you get a front clip.
