'98 Sentra SE 4dr 2.0l - What are the best inexpensive performance upgrades?

Hello,

I am new to performance upgrades. I am looking to do some performance upgrades to my 1998 Sentra SE (4dr, 2.0l).

What are best inexpensive parts to buy?

I will be doing installing the upgrades myself. So you feedback on installation would be greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions would be of great help and very much apprectiated.

Thank you...PC

And you can bump up your timing to 17* or 19* for free also. Just keep your car on a premium fuel regimen if you do so. Good for a few hp also.

Say, if you just increased the timing with out any upgrades and put premium gas in, how much horses would you get with 17*?

Yo, comonsense, how do you like your car? I was planning on financing a 2001 Sentra SE and wanted to know about the drivers impressions on the car. How is the turning radius and power compared to a B13 SE-R?

Dont forget about the '91-'93 SR20DE stock intake cam!

Good for 8-15 HP depending on other mods and less than $100 for a good used one.

17* is within stock specs so you don't need higher octance gas to help prevent detonation, although it wouldn't hurt. Now if you're at 19* then you might want to put in higher octane. It depends on what your car's timing was at before, how many horses you'll gain by advancing it. I think it's typically anywhere from nothing, to 5 HP.

You may want to search to be sure, but I think it raises the redline to 7500 and gets rid of the 105mph (or whatever it is) cut off.

upchucks right it raise the rev to 7500 removes the speed limiter plus it has slightly different fuel curves for better performance. for cheap performance weight reduction: free, and everything else that everyone said just look around and you will find

you need a 95+ G20 ecu that, like everyone said, raised redline to 7500rpm and get's rid of the speed limiter.

If you want to start drag racing the g20 ecu will allow you to cross the 1/4 traps in 3rd gear which means you can top out at 95mph in the 1/4.

also as was stated above the '91-92 intake cam will go a long way in boosting power up to redline

the reason I know is because I have both
