Are all B14 sr20de ecu's the same? A buddy of mine wants to trade his 98 ecu for my 96 ecu. We both have Se-R's. He says they are interchangeable. I know the 98's cant be tuned by JWT which is why he wants to trade. I mentioned the G20 ecu but he would rather swap with me because he knows mine works. I wont be doing that upgrade so I dont care. Will his 98 ecu work perfectly in my 96 car even though his car has mods and i dont? WHat do you think? Thanks for posting!

98's have a different plug patterns, this is why JWT does not make upgraded ECUs past 97. However, I have heard of people jimmy-rigging a set-up to make it work. Anyone know where this write up is?
