Stromung and GReddy are usually the top choices. I have a GReddy and am really impressed w/ it. There are endless discussion on this, search around and you can find a huge amount of info.

Exhaust is not gona be a bang for the buck item unless your turbo. Better off with an intake or header.

I have a pacesetter exhaust and a magnaflow hi-flow cat and it made a big difference...9 peak hp and it raised the entire curve, but that may be due to the brick that was my cat...

cat back system.....

Custom is the way to go. Go 2.25 all the way back. Greddy and HKS are great, but $425 to $550 for those systems. I live in Cali, so I don't need to worry about rust. Good luck on your decision.

I went with the stromung.. and I love it so far (everthing but the little buzz I get over 3k) High quality exhaust.. Plus the Stromung muffler tip is only about 3-31/2" so it will not get you in trouble with the cops..

You are never going to get the full gains out of your exhaust w/o an intake or header, vice-versa for the intake/header. You need all three to get the best gains out of the equipment. A header will make the biggest bang for the buck, ~8-10 hp alone and ~10-12 when paired with a good exhaust. An exhaust alone is only going to give you ~2-3 hp.

that's a good point by Zeno...the 9 hp I got wasn't so much a gain as it was getting back what was lost because of the bad cat...also, I pulled a dead squirrel out of my downpipe while I was down there. it was cooked real good and eating hp, that's when I knew I needed a header.

Courtesy exhaust is tops for off-the-shelf HP, but not by much.

the squirrel was a resonator...he was also a power eater, a cat clogger, a furry downpipe decoration, and a funny smell, poor guy.
