'92 j-spec intake cam vs. 91-93 intake cam

I was going to swap the intake cam in my '95 low port with the '91-'93 highport cam.

So I called a guy i know and he said he had a '92 jspec intake cam off of a rwd sr20.

Will this cam work in my '95 low port?

Seems like it should but I want to double check.

Thanks Guys!

i don't think the rwd cam will work.

but if you find a jspec fwd cam it's a bit more agressive than the usdm fwd '91 intake cam

Acutally the cams will work, the only thing that you need to change would be the dowl on the exhaust cam. The FWD SR20 has short dowl pins on both the intake and exhaust cam, while the RWD SR20 has a short dowl on the intake cam and a longer dowl on the exhaust cam. It's nothing a machine shop couldn't fix. All you would have to do is simply swap out he dowl pins on the exhaust side. BUT, since you're only interested in the intake cam it's a straight swap.

For as cheap as you can get the '91 cam, I would just get it and be done. Can be had for as cheap as $40. Just keep checking the classifieds on the various Nissan boards. They do go quick, so check often if you're in the market for one.
