sr engine

what engine does the sentra spec v run. i thought there was a 2.5l for a sentra. i i were to swap in an sr20de into my xe would i need a new tranny?

QR25DE its a 2.5 dohc.

I'm not sure if you knew this or not, but you could buy a Sentra SE that comes with the SR20. Its' design is different from the earlier motors, however it is still a B15 w/SR20. They're fairly cheap, so that might be a better alternative as opposed to spending all that money on a new engine/swap/everything else that goes along with it.

Spec V has a 2.5L QR25DE.

The B15 SR20 has a Roller Rockers.
