Smile What's Your Preference When it Comes to Exhaust Systems?

You know, I've been looking for some time for a good exhaust kit for my '01 Sentra SE 2.0. But the problem is, I barely have an idea as to what I'm actually looking for. I have looked at Tanabe, Skunk2, HKS, and other big names such as those, but I'm not really sure as to what is better.

So my question for you guys out there is, what exhaust system did you put in your car, how do you like it, and any recommendations that you might have when considering a kit for the Sentra.

Thanks a bunch!

check vrsexhaust.com i think they have stuff for the b15 but cant really remember. cool thing about vrs is that they sell tubing kits too so if you want to piece together your own kit, you'd already have the tubing and its mandrel bent. they do some pretty good work

^^ i have the VRS tubing kit.

hobo, you're pretty limited. basically vrs, hks, strumong, and custom are your choice. i'd definitely recommend the hks, it's my fav there's a great price in the vendor section on b15sentra. the strumong is awesome, but like 600 dollars.

Red face Hey B15, about the system you have...

That's cool. I like HKS, even though it's sometimes hard to maneuver through their site. I was wondering, do you know the horsepower gains that you got from your setup? And what did you include in your setup? Was it the full catback exhaust and headers or something?

Oh yeah, do you also know more about that strumong exhaust? I'll make sure to look it up. vrsexhaust huh... I'll check that too.

Thanks you guys, you always seem to really help me out!

i had the catback, hotshot header, aem cai, and advanced timing to 19*. it was a very nice little setup. i did not get it dynoed though, sorry

the strumong is a great exhaust, just wayy too expensive, can't justify spending that much, lol. i thought about it when i needed to go 3", but i just still couldn't do it, lol. it looks stock, it's a dual tip

Yeah B15 I checked out their site and it was weird because they only showed stuff for the Subaru. I really want to know how much the 3" would cost (one with capable turbo needs and an NA spec exhaust). Because if I can get it, I probably will.

If you could actually tell me like a rough price on it, that'll be great. I think you said like $600 before, and if that's the case then I think I'll be able to afford it (eventually :P). So yeah thanks!

the 3" is listed for 659 shipped on b15sentra in the vendor section. that's for the spec, but they can get the SE, i'm assuming it will be around the same price.
but 3" will be waaaayyy too big if you're not going turbo.
