I have an 06 Sentra SE-R Spec V...I opened my trunk with the key fob, then about 20 minutes later I went to open my trunk with the trunk release button inside of the car, and it wouldn't open. I then tried with the fob, but no luck. You can hear a noise as if it was trying to release the trunk, but it doesn't open....I have to use the key.
Is there some kind of trunk lock on the car that somehow got set, or do you think it's broken???
I know on the B13's there's a little swich on the lower section of the truck that prevents your remote trunk release from working so that a valet cant' access your belongings. I'm Think the B15's might have this as well. It's built into the latch on the lower panel of the car.
I might be wrong and maybe you don't have that and your lock actuator is going out.

You were right...there was a little switch in the trunk.....I still don't know how it could have gotten set, but I'm good to go now
Just beneath the latch ,you can see a clip, turn it up and close the trunk.Try opening it with the button near dash or remote. It should work. They designed it to avoid theft during vallet parking. The main key(steel one) is used only for ignition. There is another key(with a black rubber head) is for ignition and trunk. So if you want to avoid missing any items from trunk using vallet parking, use the main key,put the clip down and hand that to the person who is assisting you during vallet parking.
does anyone know how to fix this problem if i cannot get into the trunk...? neither my remotes or the release lever on the dash will open the trunk. I hear a sound as though the lock is trying to release but nothing happens. and my keys do not open my trunk. my trunk has been shut locked for the past 2 months and I cant get in at all!!
Oops..I didnt notice that your keys wont work any more. You need to show that to a mechanic or the dealer. Then once it is opened, look at my reply just above your post and see if that works..if not..let me know,I will send you pictures from my car to show where to look and how to get the latch working again.
