GA16DE to SR16VE swap

Is the the sr16ve engine a direct bolt in swap or is there any modifacation that needs to be done? I've heard it would fit b14 chassis. Thanks, Kevin

The SR16VE engine is the same dimensionally as the SR20. Doing this swap would be the same as swapping in the SR20 including needing an appropriate SR gearbox (hopefully that will come with your engine), brakes, half-shafts, etc. At 175HP it would make for a fun car.

So it wouldn't be compatible with the manual 5-speed that's bolted up to my ga would it? I'm gonna try to have fun with it. It's gonna be a learing project for me as I've never worked on import cars. I've had fun just working on the two nissan I got for the past 4 years.

No you cant use the ga16de transmission you need a 2.0L transmission. If your just learning i suggest getting a little more experience before doing something like this.

a VE/DE/DE-T swap is the same thing as swapping to a sr20de

I gotta do it first so I get the experience. That's kinda the purpose of asking questions so you can get some insight on the project so you don't go into it without knowing totally nothing.
