sr20de to sr20det compression.

Is it possible to change the compression ratios to make a JDM sr20de more to the equivilant of the sr20det? Would it even be practical and worth the effort for the higher boost abilities?

You could buy the 8.5:1's from nissan. You still would lack the oil squirters, but those can be bought from nissan and JWT can do whatever it is they need to do so you can install them (drill holes for them?), but that requires you sending them your block. Whether or not its practical or worth it depends on what exactly you plan to do and whether your gona put them in yourself.

I agree. The SR20DET is a steal in comparision to the standard issue JDM SR20DE. You get lower compression, different valves, a lot of internal differences from what I understand. Not to mention you're getting a turbo and likely and IC as well. If a person is going to turbo then you're already ahead with a DET because of the compression, run higher boost safely and still be able to run higher octane and water injection to boost even higher. I say it's not worth it.

My bad, I meant lower, I'll fix that.
