Do you have the money to make a 240 run though. I am staying away from the 240 for a while. To me it is over done almost like civics Everyone is hopping on the band wagon. There are so many sr swaps its not funny. If you want to be like everyone else get a 240 if you dont then either build the Se-r or get another RWD car with just as much potential if not more then the 240Sx.
there is no other car thats in the same class as the 240 and RWD, thats why everyone likes it so much, its a cheap import and RWD. Any other RWD import is going to break your wallet. I.E. 300z, supra, RX-7

Wrong.. dead wrong.
Anyone can buy an Toyota AE86 for cheap, anyone can buy an old ass Supra or old ass RX-7, and I am talking about 80's style.
Any 80's RWD sports car you can get for under $4,000 in great condition, which is much cheaper than any 89+ 240SX.
Hell I was going to buy an 240SX untill I came across an 280Z, which I took in favor of the 280Z. Older look, RWD, 180HP, lighter, cheaper........... everything I wanted.
So that's the answer to my thread, I wanted something completly different, and I still got to keep my Sentra. So I have 2 cars, one FWD and one RWD, I couldn't be any happier
I bought this for $3,800, with only 96,000 miles on it. Now you tell me, is that going to break my wallet? Hell no, with the extra money I had from what I had planned for the 240SX, I can throw in new brakes and new suspension and extra stuff.
not everyone wants to get a car that old,
And have you ever owned a 80's supra, those things are riddle with engine trouble, it will brake your wallet just maintaining them.
I have 2 friends that have owned/own one and has been nothing but trouble. ONe is an 88 the other is an 87. The first friedn had to swap a new motor 2 times do to head gasket trouble, and the second friend had a never ending battle with oil consumtion.
When they run right its a real ass happy car, fun/dangerous.
i have no experience with z's or rx-7s but i do know that z's are not cheap to maintain.
newer usually equals more reliable but not always.
rx-7s require a lot of maintainance as well, supposedly the engine goes out about every 60k miles because the apex seal goes out and the engine has to be replaced

Well 240Z's weigh about 2,100 lbs....
but my 280Z has a bit more "features" and A/C and those huge ass chrome bumpers so my Z right now weighs in at about 2,700 lbs.
