Cool another thread about a sound from my engine

I also have this weird noise coming from my engine usually in the morning when I am first starting it. It sounds like a deep squeak that last from half a second to full second. Is it a belt slipping? Can it be due to the cold weather because it didn't do that in the summer. I have no clue what it is since I don't know that much about my engine. Anyone have any tips on what it could be?

I've heard that its the starter not disengaging right away...the fix is n se-r.net with a full explanation of what is really happening...my car does that too, but it dosen't seem to be hurting anything

does your car do it while starting up or after, because my car will start up but immediately after it will make that noise. I'll go read up on it.
