I have a Spec-v with a wornout QR engine. I don't want to give this car up so i have a question about an idea i have. I have heard a lot of good things about the SR20DET, and i have wanted to some how turbo this car. I was going to take out my engine and swap it for a SR20DET.
My question is: Since the car the SR20DET came from is real wheel drive, can you put it in my front wheel drive car. Is it possible to do this?
Your going to have to take a FWD US transmission and get a JDM SR20DET and put the two together. Get a Trans from a B15 since they offered SR20's in them for a couple years(2.0 se)
You'll need a lot of 2.0 SE parts such as the crossmember, axles, mounts, wiring, etc......
You could save yourself a lot of time and money and buy a used QR or rebuild your QR and then get a Turbonetics kit. Very reliable power.
