engine temp problem

so ive driven my car like this since i did the sr20de swap from my ga16. so pretty much the car reads that its overheating but its not. ive swaped both temp sensors but it still reads the same. but the car isnt overheating. ive hooked up autometer gauge to it and its fine. what could the problem be. could i be using the wrong sensors?

mines not that bad but once the cars on it will spike the heat gauge on the dash that it will not go any higher but the motors fine i just think they all dont get alone with each other so i wouldnt worry about it unless it really bothers u lol

If the sensor and the ecu are from different locals (i.e....jdm, udsm, etc.....) then they are probably reading different voltages, ohms, amps, whatever. They'll read weird on the guage because the ecu is getting a different current even thought the engine is fine.

Have the same issue with my car. Replaced the sensor & fan switches but to no avail. My gauge on the dash stays down flat. It seems to be an issue with these engines.

If the car is overheating you will notice your rev's will go up higher when idling (After engine has warmed up) you may smell the coolant and you tend to loose power!
