i have a GA in my se and im buying an sr20 to build. my hopes were lost when i read post: 240 bhp na Sr20. my original question was, how much would it take to pump 200-220 hp out of an sr20 motor? im tryin to stay N/A. now that i saw that car in the thread my hopes are shot. if im wrong please correct me. tell me how i could do this.
It will be an expensive proposition to get 200 hp out of an SR20DE without forced-induction of some kind. You're better off getting an SR20VE for that kind of n/a power. Even that won't be cheap.

Where have you found them? And for $1200? I have always heard they are closer to $4-5K. And is that with or with or without ECU? Your last phrase does not make sense.

im totally against nitrous. i dont think it is worth $600 to have power at a switch. plus its freaky havin a "bomb" in yer trunk. either all motor or boost. no nitrous crap. if a VE cost 4-5g's then F it. i already put my deposit down on a BBDET long block to build on. itll be fun.
I'm just curious, what is the highest hp and torque numbers you have seen out of a purely NA sr20de car. I'm talking no engine swap, no2, or turbo additions. I'd especially love to know how they did it.
I think British Touring Car Championship Nissans with SR20's (most are primeras) are 300 HP n/a...they have a different intake manifold with 4 Throttle bodies, 10:1 compression, more agressive cams, more agressive timing setting(?), and a better lubricated bottom end(oil squirters I think). With those changes, I'm almost certain they use a better fuel map and probably bigger injectors.
My motor does not have a stroker kit. All my motor has to make it a 2.185 is 4 mm overbore pistons. There is no larger crank. Crank = stroker kit. Pistons = overbore motor.
