JDM conversion ?

I picked up a JDM engine from Soken in LA for my SE-R. I live in a state where they smog test the vehicles (although not as bad a L.A.), but still having to run emissions every two years.

The JDM exhaust manifold is supposively beefy. More HP that the stock... I want to leave it on. I'll pick up the gasket kit to put mine on, if I need too, but in the mean time I'm going to leave it the way it is, and see what I can get away with.

Have any of you done this? Is there a possiblity of 'sneaking' past emissions??

How hard is it to install it all... Run another year or so until I have to re-test it... and then have to install the US manifold???

Suggestions are welcomed!!

As long as you use the usdm intake, and figure a way to hook up the egr system...I don't see any reason you would fail. However, if you plan on getting tested without the egr system working, I am 95% sure you will fail an emissions test.
